We are saddened to announce the passing of David Kozak on February 1, 2025. Dave fought valiantly to stay with us as long as he could, then passed quickly and peacefully as he had wished. 

Dave was a beloved father to Christian and Sienna, husband to Carol, former husband to Laddie (predeceased), and dog dad to Bianca and Kalea. He was a cherished friend and colleague to so many.

He began his career as a diver, filming underwater movies for National Geographic, then worked in the movie industry in BC before forming his own events management company where his creative and technical abilities could flourish. In his final years, he enjoyed working with the events team at the Vancouver Convention Centre. 

Dave will be remembered for his love of spending time with family and friends, of taking long walks in the woods with his dogs, and of making great meals and margaritas.

Heartfelt thanks to Doctors Ben Beheshti, Lily Li and Paul Manhas, to the Fraser Health Tri-Cities Palliative Care Team, and to the amazing, loving nurses, support staff and volunteers at McKenney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge.  

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Those who were touched by Dave’s life will be welcome to attend.
