Obituary of Douglas Challener Fifield

Douglas Challener Fifield, aged 66 years old passed away peacefully in the hospital on March 25/2025.

Douglas suffered a stroke on March 11/2025, spent couple days in Maple Ridge hospital, then transferred to Royal Columbian for further treatment and evaluation. 

Douglas met Janice back 1981, they dated for a couple of years then married in 1983 they moved from Burnaby, BC to Maple Ridge where they bought their first home. 

Douglas was a mechanic for over 40 years well respected in the industry, very knowledgeable, and easy going.

Douglas and Janice Fifield had two boys Stephen and David. Douglas loved spending time with his boys by taking them to soccer, baseball, lacrosse, going on day trips, camping and car shows.

Douglas was blessed with five grandchildren which he loved spending time with, going on walks, bike rides, day trips, watching their sports.

Douglas leaves behind his wife Janice, two sons Stephen and David, two daughter in-laws Crystal and Savannah, and his five grandchildren, Braxton, Charlie, Quinn, Brooklyn and Liam

Douglas will be missed dearly from family, co-workers, and neighbors

Service will be head at Garden Hill Cremation and Funeral services on April 5/2025 at 11am. There will be refreshments and light snacks available.
