1950 - 2025 

He was born in Wolverhampton, England to mother Irene and father Fred along with his sister Patricia and brother Keith 

He married Carol Barnett on August 24, 1974. Together they had 2 children, Paul (Alana) and Gayle and welcomed 5 grandchildren: Josh, Lilly, Violet, Holly and Elizabeth. 

Bob and Carol moved to Canada in 1975 where Carol’s brother Derek and his family were living. They built a home and a happy life here, where they made new friends that became their family. 

Bob loved to play football (soccer) and in his younger years went to Oslo, Norway and played on a professional team. He joined a team when they first moved to Canada to keep his love of soccer going. 

As a family, the Edwards’ joined the local Barnetts at Karate. While others dropped off at different levels, Bob completed his black belt. 

He enjoyed meeting up with the guys and playing table tennis. They then started a baseball team along with their wives where they played for many years. “R-Gang” forever. 

In Bob’s mid life he picked up photography and would walk around all our local areas to find some unique photos. 

Bob worked as Floor Layer for 49 years for Local 1541 and taught his son Paul the trade. Paul is now carrying on the tradition and bringing up Josh in the trade as well. 

Bob would always look for fun life experiences. Camping with family and friends (his nickname was “bad weather BobE, as it would always rain), getting a boat and teaching us to water ski and his favourite whipping us kids around on the tube and trying to throw us off (he could never get Paul).

He was spontaneous and once woke us up and said “Let’s go to DisneyLand!” and again surprised us with trips to San Francisco and Cannon Beach and many other road trips. 

He loved with his whole heart and would be there to help anyone in need.
