Norm McLaren

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Norm McLaren, May 19, 2025  just days shy of his 70th birthday. Born on May 27, 1955, in New Westminster, Norm was the beloved son of Nora and Norm.

A lifelong resident of Maple Ridge, Norm was a devoted husband to his wife Nita and a proud father to their children: Jessica (Jason), Amanda, and Nils (Amanda). He was also a cherished grandfather (Pop)to seven grandchildren: Greyson, Nora, Asher, Shaiya, Berklee, Nash, and Nate.

Norm is survived by his loving brother Joe (Angie) and sister Judy. He is predeceased by his brothers Jeff and Jon.

Norm had a deep love for family, often bringing everyone ( and all the dogs )  together for gatherings filled with laughter, and storytelling. His passions included fishing and hunting, and he never missed a chance to share a story—with anyone and everyone.

He will be remembered for his warmth, his generosity, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers please donate to your charity of choice.
