Obituary of Bonnie May Arnett

Please share a memory of Bonnie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that the family of Bonnie Arnett announce her passing on November 6, 2025, in Chilliwack, BC. Bonnie was born on July 8, 1945, in Calgary, AB.

She was predeceased by her father Robert Freeland, mother Eileen McPhie, and stepfather Louis McPhie. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Tony (Anthony); stepdaughters Denise (Lauren) and Lorrie (Don); sister Bobbie (John); step-siblings Ron (Evelyn), Janet (Hans), Karen (Ralph), and Kim (Mary); half-sister Sandra (Ron); and cherished grandchildren Joshua, Indianna, Noah, Micah, Taige, Koen, and Kyler.

Bonnie grew up primarily in Coquitlam, where she graduated from Como Lake High School. She and Tony were married on June 11, 1988, and together shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Passionate about boating, they were proud members of the Harrison Yacht Club and made their home in Agassiz, BC for more than 40 years.

Bonnie will be remembered for her larger-than-life laugh, her kindness, and her thoughtfulness toward everyone she knew. She loved sending personal greeting cards to friends and family and her compassion even extended to stray animals in her neighborhood. Though a private person, her warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a truly beautiful person, inside and out. She will be deeply missed.

A small gathering in Bonnie’s memory will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Poppy Fund through the Royal Canadian Legion.
