It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Lowen, age 60, who lost her courageous battle with cancer after a 5 year long fight. Susan passed away peacefully at her home in Maple Ridge, BC, surrounded by her loved ones. Pre-deceased by her mother and father, Maria & John Sinkovec.  

Born and raised in Kitimat, BC, Susan carried the spirit of her hometown throughout her life. She later moved to Maple Ridge, where she became an integral part of her community, touching the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength.

A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend, Susan will be remembered for her boundless love and support for her family and friends. She had an incredible ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved. Her strength in the face of adversity and her grace under pressure will be an inspiration to all who knew her.

Susan’s family was everything to her. She leaves behind her beloved husband and daughter Rudy & Jessica Lowen, and a host of friends who considered her family. Her memory will live on in their hearts, as well as in the many stories and moments she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 17th at 2:00pm at Garden Hill Funeral Home, 11765 - 224th Street, Maple Ridge.
