Philip (Phil) William Davis

December 6, 1930 - December 14, 2025

Phil was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta and passed away in British Columbia at Maple Ridge Hospital, following a lengthy stay.

Phil is survived  by his daughter, Rebecca;  his younger brother, Bill (Myrna); his grandson, Dave; his great grandson, Parker; and nieces and nephews.

Phil's family moved to British Columbia, where he met Olive. They were married for 64 years before Olive passed away in 2016. Phil had many different jobs - he farmed and logged, he worked as a swamper with a moving company, drove taxi, drove delivery trucks and transport vehicles in the city and long hauls in Canada, and occasionally to the United States, to name a few. For a short time, he and a partner owned their own rig and delivered goods across Canada and to the United States.

Phil was self-taught and could pretty much fix anything - if he didn't know how, he'd learn. He left his mark on countless household repairs and renovations. Mechanics was his main interest, and for many years he kept the family cars, and those of friends, on the road. In 1975 Phil started his apprenticeship  and earned his  Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal in 1979.  Phil retired a couple of times, but soon found himself back at work, to ease his restlessness.

Phil was self-motivated - he didn't need to be reminded to look after his family, to exercise every day, to see to the maintenance of the house, yard, and vehicles. It's fair to say that he just loved to work and to keep busy.

Phil, or as I call him, Dad, was loved and is missed.

Dad was laid to rest, alongside his beloved wife, Olive (Mom), May 22, 2026, in a private Ceremony.
