Obituary of Alice Stewart

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winnifred Alice Stewart, known to all who knew her as Alice.

Born in Kamloops, BC on November 28th, 1943 passed away on January 15, 2026 at McKenney Creek Hospice in, Maple Ridge, BC.

Alice will be dearly missed by her sons Don (Lori) and Scott aka Archie, her grandsons Kyle (Meghan) and Devon (Madison), her great grandchildren Dax and Stevie as well as her sister Linda (Allan) and family. As a child she traveled the province while her father worked on airports, roads and power projects. She graduated from Burnaby Central High School. Alice raised her family in Port Coquitlam, and worked at Canada Post as a letter carrier. In 1991 Alice relocated to the Sunshine Coast, to live and work by the ocean she loved so much. The last few years were spent at Derby Manor in Burnaby. She spoke often and fondly of the great friends and relationships she created there.

As I walk by the shore, I hear the stones moving under the oceans incoming waves. Always steady, for hundreds of years and will continue to do so for hundreds more. Stop, take the time to listen.
