Mary Alda Chisholm Obituary

Mary Alda Chisholm (Wright) passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026 in Maple Ridge, BC at 80 years old.

She was born on October 14, 1945 in Woodstock, New Brunswick to Ralph and Della Wright. Mary was one of eight children and her family moved to Saint John in the late 1950s. She met her beloved husband Frank at Simonds Regional High School and they married in 1966.

Mary loved motherhood. She was the one who made any house her family lived in feel like home. She loved the Christmas season and created wonderful memories for her children and grandchildren throughout the years. We won’t forget her fantastic Christmas trees that stood 2 stories tall in our home in Good Corner, NB.

To her grandchildren, she was Nanny. She helped raise each of them and enjoyed every moment. Nanny was always there for them.  She was happiest when she had her grandchildren all together.  During the last days of her life, she loved to tell us how much she loved her grand babies. “I am so very proud of all of them. They are my most precious gifts.”

Mary was a Christian woman who loved God, and we are comforted knowing she is at peace in heaven.

She will missed dearly by her husband Frank and daughters Lori and Paula. Grandchildren Megan, Ethan, Leah, Lauren and Reed will never forget their sweet Nanny who adored each of them beyond words.
