It is with great sadness that the family of Stephen James Schneider announce his passing on July 26, 2026 in Maple Ridge, BC. Stephen was born in Fort Simpson, NWT on September 22, 1966.

Predeceased by his wife Darlene Schneider, father Leslie Schneider, brother Kelly Schneider, sister Sharon Jones, and brother Frank Schneider.

Survived by his mother Simone Schneider, step-son & wife Jason & Amanda Adams, grandchildren Hunter & Eden Adams, siblings Darlene Schneider, Nadia Riggs, Eric Schneider, and Jason & Nao Schneider, nieces & nephews Aaron & Sharon Jones, Trina & Curt Keays, Matt & Krissy Bray, Kyle & Kayo Riggs, Brianna Bojsza, Emma Schneider, Noah Schneider, and Lisa Schneider.  Great-nieces & nephews Kana Keays, Dacey Bray, Arabella Jones, Elliana Jones, and Erin Riggs.

Stephen served in the Navy and worked for the BC Ministry of Human Resources.  An avid reader and comic collector he loved nothing more than a good conversation and was always open to hearing other ideas/opinions and sharing his own.  A loving friend, brother, and son, he was a unique individual who lived his life on his own terms.

A service will be held August 25th at 11 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in Maple Ridge.
