October 4, 1933 – August 25, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly Grace Larsen announce her passing on August 25, 2026, at Meadow Ridge Hospital in Maple Ridge. Bev was born in Vancouver B.C. on October 4, 1933.

Bev is predeceased by her husband Roy Larsen of 43 years, her sister Doreen Leowen and many close friends. Bev is survived by her children Deb Bowley, Charlene / Paul Thompson, Michele Bowley / Ron Dussault, and Robert Bowley alongside 5 granddaughters and many great grandchildren.

Bev first married at 18 and worked for B.C. Telephone but left her job to pursue having children and a family life. She was active in her faith, teaching Sunday school and travelling to Mexico on a housing missions project. Extended family was a big part of her life.

At 38 Bev single parented her 4 children and became active in the singles square dancing club and indirectly met her husband, Roy. They were married in 1975 and resided together with her 4 children on a 4-acre hobby farm in Whonnock.

Bev worked hard as a mother and wife at home and enjoyed the many activities and trips her and Roy did together. Bev returned to working outside the home at 55 and retired at 65 with Fraser home support. She became very active in the Maple Ridge community with the seniors walking club, tap and flamingo dance, and the bowling league.

She loved music, dancing, playing the piano and watching old movies, especially mysteries. Bev was an avid Blue Jays fan for almost 50 years. She is loved and will be missed immensely.

The family will be having a private gathering to celebrate Bev’s life Oct 4th.
