Obituary of Ronald Ernest Reichelt

January 27, 1947 – June 29, 2013 It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of our beloved husband, son, father and grandfather, Ronald Ernest Reichelt. Ron passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2013. He is survived by the love of his life, Vaila, along with his mother Shirley; his three children and their partners Jeremy and Tannis, Renee and Craig, Dustin and Courtney; and grandchildren Reece, Gabriella, Connor, Rebecca, Jessica, Madison and Sadie. Ron was born in Victoria on January 27, 1947 and raised in Chilliwack where he met and fell in love with Vaila at the age of 14. Ron was a charter student at SFU, having been a recipient of an athletic scholarship to play on the school’s football team. Sports were a lifelong commitment for Ron as he was highly involved in the soccer and baseball organizations in Ridge Meadows, including coaching both his sons to wins in national baseball championships and continuing to be an avid lawn bowler and curler. Ron will be remembered as the man always willing to help anyone, as an extremely proud and amazing father and grandfather, a great friend, a wonderful son and loving and devoted husband. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at Eighteen Pastures Golf Course at 29910 Matheson Ave., Mission. In lieu of flowers, the family requests support of Ron’s lifelong dedication to kids and sport through Jumpstart at
