beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt passed away on April 12, 2013 in West Vancouver. Miriam was born and raised in Burnaby and other than her years spent in Edmonton, she called Burnaby home until she retired to the Summerhill Residence in North Vancouver, and then to Inglewood Care Centre in recent years. Miriam is predeceased by her husband Ken Watson and her second husband, Ed Wilkin. She is survived by her children Patricia Watson (Rob), Vivian O’Sullivan (Barry) and Jack Watson (Gretchen), sister Emily Little and brothers Bob and Jack Smedley, her grandchildren Martin (Debbie) Carnegie, Brent Carnegie, Colin Noppers (Richelle), Alisha Patterson (Todd) and Karinne Addis (Ryan). She also had four great grandchildren (Logan , Amara, Matthew and Kaelen) and many nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all. Miriam spent many hours doing volunteer work for the YWCA and was instrumental in setting up the Sexual Assault Centre in Edmonton. She was involved in her church, Job’s Daughters and Eastern Star. A special thank you to the wonderful care received at Inglewood Care Centre. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday April 13th at Garden Hill Funeral Services located at 11765 224th St., Maple Ridge, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to Alzheimers Society of BC would be greatly appreciated.
