Obituary of Leland William Triebwasser

Please share a memory of Leland to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
January 19, 1938 – December 25, 2012 It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Leland Triebwasser of Maple Ridge, B.C. on December 25, 2012. Lee was born in Calgary, Alberta to Hazel and Albert Triebwasser. He, along with his two brothers and two sisters, were raised mainly in Beiseker, and Brooks, AB. As a young man he moved to B.C. – first to Prince George where he worked in construction and also as a cab driver. Eventually he moved to the Lower Mainland where he became a Longshoreman. There he met his wife Lily and started a family, and was a great husband and father. Lee loved working on crosswords, playing solitaire, and watching the Canuck and Lions games. He very much missed his doggy sidekick “K.D.” after she died last year, and in turn he is very missed by his catnap buddy “Luna”. Lee was predeceased by both his parents, as well as his brother Merlin and sister Cherish. He is survived by his brother Floyd, sister Ruth (Ray), wife Lily, children Sonia (Darrell), and William – grandchildren Emily, Tyson, Naomi and many nieces and nephews. He was very loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial Service His service is to be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00pm at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 224th St, Maple Ridge. Donations In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to the BCSPCA.
