Obituary of Donald Omar Hagerup

(1943- 2011) Died suddenly in Maple Ridge on February 24, 2011. Predeceased by his mother (Margaret), father (Haaftor)) and his brother (Arnold). Donald was born and raised in New Westminster and was part of one of the town’s pioneering families – the Carlson’s. Donald later moved to his second home in Maple Ridge. Donald was a long term employee with BC Automobile Association and assisted many stranded drivers in the Lower Mainland during his career. Donald had avid interests in outdoor activities, mechanical challenges, building, and BC history. He enjoyed helping people and caring for his cats and dogs, as well as many abandoned and abused cats and dogs. He was a talented and self contained man that will be remembered.
