Obituary of Neil Maurice Agle

March 17, 1920 – November 17, 2012 It is with great sadness, we announce that Neil passed away peacefully on November 17th surrounded by his family in New Westminster, BC after a short illness, at the age of 92. Neil was born in Glasgow Montana, grew up in North Park Alberta. He married his sweetheart Ruth during the war and moved to the lower mainland of British Columbia after the war to be with her. They raised four daughters in Maple Ridge while serving a long and distinguished career with the Federal Corrections Service. He was predeceased by his father Lornts Agle, mother Gudrun Agle, brother Birger Agle, sister in law Vivien Agle, daughter Lorraine Agle and grandson Micheal Cizik. Neil (Dad, Grandpa, and Great grandpa) will be deeply missed by his wife of 68 years Ruth, his daughters Susan (Micheal), Beverly(Donald) and Maxine (Vince), his son in law Wayne, grandchildren Maria (Anthony), Bradley (Charlene),Angela, Chad (Brianna) and Carla (Ryan) and his great grandchildren Cassandra, Tyler, Dale, Taylor, Brandon, Carter, Kaylee, Kyle, Jordan and Nathan. Neil & Ruth were some of the first tenants to move into the Maple Ridge ECRA building in 1999 and Neil was proud to be involved with the strata council over the last 13 years. He looked forward to his Saturday Morning Men’s Group. A celebration of life will be held at the Ridge Meadows Seniors Activity Centre: 12150 224 Street on Tuesday November 27th between 2 – 5pm.
