Passed Away 5th July 2012. Late of Maple Ridge, B.C., aged 91 years. Caroline Harriett Stacey, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, July 19th, 1920. Passed away peacefully at Baillie House, in Maple Ridge on July 5th, 2012. Predeceased by her father William Angus Livingstone, mother Edith Esther Livingstone (nee Clarke), brother Grant Livingstone, and sister Kathleen Hilpert. She is survived by her sister Mary McGuire- Wrean and sister-in-law Barbara Livingstone also 4 children:- Edith Stacey of Pender Island, Norman (Anne) Stacey of Auckland, New Zealand, Alison (and Late Terry) Stacey- Mitchell of Pitt Meadows Donna Stacey (Jim Boucher) of Brisbane, Australia. Also 4 grandchildren:- Samuel Harrap of Vancouver, Donald Serra- Stacey of Auckland, and Natalie and Christian Boucher of Brisbane and nieces and nephews:- Louise, Glenna, Caroline, David, Brent and their families. Caroline was a WWII Veteran. She was a Registered Nurse from St. Paul’s Class of 1943. Nursing Sister Canadian Army and after the war did her Nursing Degree BSc from UBC 1950. She lived in New Zealand and Thailand for some years before returning to Vancouver in 1975. Mum had a long battle with Dementia, and the family wishes to thank the staff of Baillie House for their Loving Care. Celebration of Life will be at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #88 at 12101-224th St. Maple Ridge, on Saturday July 14th at 2pm. Her body has been donated to UBC as per her request.
