I remember David well in Chateauguay, as he was best friends with my brother Alan and Frank Rauche. He was always around at our place. Later on he moved to Vancouver and I had the pleasure of seeing him a few times. He was always smiling and if my memory serves me correct, he was at my wedding, unofficial but welcome nonetheless. A bit late of a condolence, but a great guy. The tribute is well done.

I remember Dave back in Chateauguay when we went to Maple School. He was my best friend at school in those early years. We attended the same high school too. We had many common friends and we all went to rock concerts together. Dave would have a great time.
Dave we will sadly miss you.
I give my sympathies to the family.

I was a student at THSS and remember Dave the janitor well. After school sometimes we’d stay in the computer lab playing games and Dave would always say, you guys got until 4:30, 4:30! Not 4:45, 4:30! Everyday he said that, but I don’t think there was a single day that we didn’t stretch it till 4:45. Dave was a great guy and I thank him for putting up with us staying late after school in the classroom as he cleaned. We’d talk from time to time, he loved talking about his Montreal Canadians and how they were only a few pieces away it seemed each year from being cup winners. He also loved talking about music. Not a day went by that he didn’t talk about his Mirage speakers which were superior in sound quality to the ones we had blaring our classic rock in the classroom after school. I miss those days, and it brings me great sadness to think that he’s not around anymore. I always wanted to go back and say hi to people, Dave included, at my old high school. I’m really sorry I didn’t. Thanks Dave for being that cool custodian who helped make afternoons fun for a lot of young kids who wanted to hang out in a computer lab after school.
See ya again someday bud,

I’m so sorry to hear about David. We were good friends back in Chateauguay where we grew up together and I lived at 186 Duquette Street, a 5 minute walk down the connecting street. Our circle of friends all enjoyed the same tastes in music and we often got together to listen to new albums. Dave always had the coolest Jimi Hendrix British imports. Dave, your friends will always remember your great laugh and cheery attitude towards life. You will be sadly missed. My condolences to Rona and family.
Sincerely,
Frank Rauche
