Colette was an amazing Hearing client of ours. We always looked forward to seeing her big smile as she walked through the door. Always so happy and loving! She will be very missed! We have her post card hanging in our office from her Paris Trip. Here’s what she wrote:
Dear Jennifer and Nicole,

I will always remember Colette with a smile. When she worked at the physio clinic I would stop by just for a hug. She always spoke french with me and my brothers and was a great help with homework. More recently I used to take my kids to visit her at the women’s hospice auxiliary. She lived fully and loved freely. You will be remembered always and now like always we will look up to you.

We live down the street from her Hammond home and
remember shopping at their store in 1975 and Ron
delivering the groceries to our house. No one did that
Colette, I recall, had a job with a greeting card company.
Her mother-in-law spoke German, as did we, so we met.
When Ron became ill, etc. I would often take her shopping
in my car and helped her when she moved to Pitt Meadows.
We became friends but lost contact since then and her
passing was a big shock to us.
All the best to her family.

Colette was my friend,a friend you chose for family, and a co-worker. She was a caregiver with an amazing heart. When our family moved to Hammond some years ago, Colette, Ron and Oma Sophie had a grocery store close by. When I needed to return to work I needed care for my 6 month son Sean. I asked this warm hearted lady if she knew anybody and her immediate response was “you can’t leave this beautiful boy with just anyone I am sure Oma Ron and I can help you” and so started our friendship. Along came Karen and I remember how they loved and rocked her, then Ian who took his first steps in their backyard.Colette had many talents and was a great hostess, a wonderful cook and enjoyed throwing a good party. She taught me about canning and oh those brandied cherries! I could not learn to knit as she did.. Years pass and our children became adults. She was always encouraging, loving and forgiving. She was so proud of her family Mike, Heather and Sacha and their spouses. She celebrated their differences and was so proud of their accomplishments Her grandchildren were a source of joy! She has given them a great inheritance..the love of family She had great strength and enduring love in the face of adversity. When Ron had his stroke and life changed Colette came to work with us at Pitt Meadows Physiotherapy. Lucky were those who met her and lucky were we to work with her. She was quick, caring and efficient. Adversity hit as Sophie aged and Ron her true love, became more disabled. She lost both of them. Colette faced her own personal adversity with her health but with her strength of character and the support of family she was able to recover. All along she remained caring ,patient, loving and forgiving. I am glad that she enjoyed her friendships and had some trips in the last few years..that was always on her bucket list.
I and my family have been blessed to have had Colette in our lives and I can only hope that I have learned from her. I will so miss her warm hugs,so special.
My heart goes out to her family, her spirit will live in your hearts.
With Love Virginia

I have such fond memories of Mrs. Page growing up. She was like another mother to me and many of us… always warm and kind… I would often come over to Sacha’s after school and she wouldn’t hesitate to make us all a delicious snack (ie. Beef tar tar). Sacha is so blessed to have had such a wonderful mother.
To her family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

A truly beautiful soul, a deeply interested intellect, and an open and unfettered love for family and friends epitomized our Colette. She was indeed the sister I never had and, most importantly, a kindred spirit. Love and loss – two emotions that cannot be described.
Mike, Heather, and Sacha – my heart shares in your mourning. So many amazing memories I shall hold so close to my heart of your Mother!

I am very sorry to hear of your sudden loss. I know how important Mom and Grandma were to you. I am very glad she got the chance to go on her trip, what an amazing experience, and that she had the opportunity to live closer to her friends. She knew how very much she was loved and that is the most important thing of all.
My heart and prayers go out to you all, if you need anything, please let me know.

Colette and I worked together for many years. She brought a quiet dignity to the office. She always said hello to me as I entered the door, but more tenderly, she always sought me out when her shift was over to say good-bye. Sometimes she would just touch me gently on the back so as not to disturb me. She was always very polished and sophisticated. I will never get over missing her. I wish we could have said good-bye one last time.
