When he retired early, he still found time to volunteer, this time with a local seniors center, as well as the Maple Ridge Salvation Army Church, receiving numerous awards for his dedication and also volunteered each year with the Salvation Army Kettles. Roy was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Maple Ridge branch). Roy was also a long time IEEE Member. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or the Ridge Meadows Hospice Society (P.O. Box 11, Maple Ridge, BC V2X 7E9) would be greatly appreciated. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Lao-tzu
