Passed Away in Mckenney Creek Hospice, in Maple Ridge, BC, on January 11, 2011 at 87 years of age. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Audrey and is survived by his 3 children: Marjorie (Mark), Shirley (Ray), Larry (Eileen); his 6 grandchildren, Stephen (Vicki), Claire, Jane, Kurt, John, Luke, great-granddaughter Deanna Audrey, sister Irma France and many loved nieces and nephews. The great-grandson of pioneers, Shelby was born in Saskatchewan and moved to BC in 1941. A veteran of WW II, psychiatric nurse, long time employee of Canexus, a builder, an innovator, artist, craftsman, gardener, a faithful friend, and wonderful father and grandfather. Dearly loved, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Reception will be held at the family home January 29, 2011, 1 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ridge Meadows Hospice Society, PO Box 11, Maple Ridge, BC, V2X 7E9.
