Obituary of Isobel Hope Smith

Please share a memory of Isobel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
July 6, 1925 – November 14, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce Isobel’s passing. Our Angel is now free of pain and is with her husband Jack (predeceased 2009). Isobel was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to B.C. in 1958. Mom and Dad were married for almost 59 years. They were the happiest when they were together. Isobel is survived by daughter Sheila (Greg), sons Murray, Alan, & Jeffrey: grandchildren Tara (Dave), Derek (Kyla), and Shaylene: great granddaughters Avril and Sophia. Isobel will be sorely missed by all those who had the good fortune to have known her. We will all miss her brilliant smile, her positive energy, and her loving, giving nature. Our Mom was one special Lady and her spirit will live on in each of us. God only takes the best and holds them close. We love you Mom. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. C. Fernandes and his staff for their kindness, compassion, and medical care of Isobel. Also thank-you to the staff at Greystone Manor in Maple Ridge for always being there for Mom and making her life so much happier. Thanks Chris for always being such a wonderful friend to Isy. Service to be held on Saturday November 20th at 1:00PM at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 21299 River Road, Maple Ridge. Donations may be sent to RMH Foundation, c/o Ridge Meadows Hospital.
