Bud and Ann would like for you to accept our sympathies on the death of a dear mother, sister and grandmother. We met Kay and Val a good while ago at my sister’s, Muriel and since then had some good times together at dances and playing cards of which Kay enjoyed both. To us , Kay was a very spiritual person with very strong faith. She had a zest for live and always enjoyed a good laugh even when she was not feeling well herself. Kay will be sadly missed by us and the many family and friends she encountered over the years. Although Kay is gone from this earth she will live on in our hearts forever. May God bless you and help you now through the pain of such a great loss.

Kay’s famiy, I was deeply saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. Kay and I became really good friends over the last fifteen years. We shared many good times together. I had supper at her house before she moved to the mainland, after Val’s passing. I consider myself blessed to have known her as she touched my life in so many ways. I take great comfort knowing that she is with Val and at peace. I will remember her always. Good- bye my friend.

To Kay’s family
Kay and I were friends and co-workers. During her years at St. Teresa’s School in Mundy Pond, Kay worked together with our staff and played a key role in the success of our Literacy Project which received both National and International recognition. Kay was such a caring, dedicated and hard working teacher who put much heart and soul into her teaching career. It was such a pleasure to know Kay and I celebrate the wonderful woman and teacher that she was! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Lawrence,Juanita and Christina,
I am so very sorry to hear your sad news. I worked with your Mom at St.Teresa’s School for several years. She was always pleasant, compassionate and very professional. She was an inspiration to work with.
She read any book anyone was willing to share with her and she was always excited about learning news things.
She was also my son William’s grade 2 teacher.
Your Mom always spoke of you all and she was very proud of you. Her love did not end with her own children but there was still room for more people. I would often see her skating on Saturday’s with Jake. I know that she and Val were a big part of his life.
Though her time with Val was cut short, she remained optimistic. She called me last year from Vancouver and told me about her life there. She was enjoying yoga and going for walks and being with her daughters and grand children.
I know that this is a huge loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Yvonne Manning

To Kay’s Family,
I was very sad to hear about Kay’s passing, but I am sure that she is in a safe and loving place. I hope that while you will miss her dearly, and mourn your loss, you will also celebrate her life and take consolation in knowing that she is no longer in pain. I too, was fortunate to have worked with Kay at St. Teresa’s School. She was always kind to me and her positive approach to life and its ‘challenges’ was inspirational. She spoke of her family often and lovingly and I am certain that she (and Val!) are watching over you now. May you take comfort in knowing that others share your sorrow. God Bless!
