I met Addie in 1968 when I was pregnant with my daughter. We both were in the same bowling league. That meeting resulted in a wonderful friendship that spanned 42 years with many fond memories and special moments. She started working as a cashier at Britannia in 1977 and retired in 1990. I still work at Britannia and there are several employees who remember Addie and her special kindness to people. While cashiering at the pool or rink, if someone didn’t have quite enough money to pay, she would put it in for them. Her strong belief in people came from the fact they all usually came the next time and paid her back. That’s the kind of impact Addie had on people, always ready to lend a helping hand. I am proud to have called her my friend and relieved she is no longer suffereing. God bless you Addie.
