Today I came across my dear friend Marc’s picture in the newspaper. I was unaware of his illness so his passing comes as a great shock. Marc was one of the good guys..in fact he was one of the “Great guys” and hew was always a pleasure to be around. I am so very sorry we never got the opportunity to say good-bye.
I would like to pass along to my condolences to Paul, Dierdre and the rest of Marc’s family.
Rest in peace my dear friend.

Helen, Selana, Andrea, Theresa, Paul, Deirdre, Kristen and the rest of Marc’s family. I just wanted you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Time passes, but memories don’t…. In the middle of the overwhelming sadness I felt when I read of Marc’s passing I broke into a smile – Marc always made me laugh, and laugh and……….
Some of my fondest childhood memories are with Marc and you Paul, The relentless hours at Kin Park playing tennis until we couldn’t see, the the belly aching laughter, the times when Marc would find his game and shine, and the times when he would choose a few choice words and we’d hear his racket fly into the net – eventually he’d always find humour in it – it just took a while!
The driving around in my MG ‘bonbertible’….remember Paul your neighbours little girl gave it a memorable name ‘Hey Mister, sure like your bonbertible!’
The hours spent at work with Marc, they never seemed like work – we just laughed a lot.
Most importantly just the times hanging around together, with Marc and Paul there was never a dull moment. It was a time when Marc and you Paul were like brothers to me. I admit a strange family but a wonderful fit!
Life took us in different directions and our paths seldom crossed. When they did the glimmer in Marc’s eyes and the wry smile on his face always made me feel like it was like yesterday – a kid again!
The world has lost a very special friend but Marc made the world such a better place. I feel blessed that he touched my life, blessed of the memories that I cherish and feel blessed that I can call Marc my friend.
A friend that I loved.
Thinking of you all,
Your friend, love Warren Cleal (Deb) Maple Bay

We met Marc while purchasing a vehicle @ Maple Ridge Chrysler, he was my salesperson shortly before he moved into the service dept. My husband and I found him to be such a wonderful part of that purchase experience, a kind and caring man unlike any other salesperson we’d ever met! We got to know him and look forward to talking to him each time we took our vehicles in for servicing (my husband also purchased a Jeep there a fews years after mine). I usually brought him a drink from Starbuck’s or a gift card as he always treated us so very well and was such a pleasure to be around. He had a very positive impact on our lives, as surely he did on so many others, and will be greatly missed. Our most sincere condolences to his family and friends.
