Obituary of Sara Penner

Please share a memory of Sara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
November 12, 1933-April 21, 2018 Sara was born in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico on November 12, 1933. She was the fourth child of eleven children and was married to her husband, Abe of 65 years on October 5, 1952. She was immersed in a Christian community that shaped her values and her commitment to Jesus. Sara was blessed with a large and loving family. She passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of Saturday April 21, 2018. Her last breath on earth was followed by her next breath in heaven. She was kind and gracious, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. Sara is survived by her husband, Abe; her children, Kathy (Walter – deceased), Abe (Delores), Mary (Deceased) (Jeff), Ike (Kelly), Agnes (David), Neil (Linda); her nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Abe Wolfe, Helen Reimer, Tina Plett, John Wolfe, and Herman Wolfe. Though our mom had no official titles or higher education, she left a legacy of faith in Jesus, love for her family and service to her church and community. She believed in the power of prayer and prayed daily for every family member by name. She lived a life of gratefulness even through difficult circumstances. She served her family tirelessly and mentored many struggling and neglected people in the community, including inmates at a local women’s prison. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at Maple Ridge Alliance Church at 1:00 pm on Saturday April 28, 2018. The family has requested that any donations be directed to the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.
