BOWYER, Loretta Marguerite (Bubs) September 5, 1933 – January 1, 2010 Loretta (Bubs) Bowyer passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Holyrood Manor in Haney at the age of 76. She was predeceased by her dear parents, Louis and Marguerite Wild and younger brother, Bernie. Loretta was kind, generous and fun-loving and she celebrated life everyday. She loved to entertain friends and family in her home and everyone was made to feel welcome. Loretta also loved to sing and would often break into song with others soon following along. It was part of her unique charm. She will be dearly missed by all who had the good fortune to know her and share in her life. Loretta will be forever in the hearts of her husband, Bob, children, Mike(June), Michelle(Melissa), Louis(Linda), Kaleen(Barb) and her five adoring grandchildren, Kevin, Steven, Laura, Aaron, and Kelsey, as well as her dear sisters, Marlene(Jack) Cameron, Rochelle(Dick) Bodnarchuk and brother, Lorne Wild. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Holyrood Manor who so gently cared for Loretta in the last years of her life, and Father Abundo who went above and beyond in Loretta’s final days. A prayer service will take place on January 7, 2010 at 6 pm and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 8, 2010 at 11 am, both to be held at St. Luke’s Parish, 20285 Dewdney Trunk Rd, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. in Loretta’s name would be appreciated. Go in peace Loretta and God Bless you always.
