An angel on earth, our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother has gone to join the angels above.
Born in Nottingham, England, Dot emigrated to Canada with her family in 1929, married Frank in 1947 and lived in Winnipeg for many years before moving to Coquitlam and then to Maple Ridge.
Preceded by her husband Frank in 2010, Dot was a wonderful mother who’s life was dedicated to her 7 children, Edna, Doug (Sherry), Frank (Jan) in Calgary, Nance Turney, (Ralph) in Victoria, Ian (Val), in Kipling, Sask, Gerry, (Cari) in Castlegar, Janice Mosher (David ) Snoqualmie, Washington, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers Harry Newbury (Bettyann) in Calgary and George Newbury in Winnipeg, sister-in-laws Fran Winters (Howard) and Jeanine Williams and many loved nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel – 11765 224th Street, on Saturday, March 31 at 1:00pm.
Memorial donations to The Knowledge Network (which Mom watched many evening hours in her declining years which brought her many happy hours) or The Arthritis Society are appreciated.
