Obituary of John Henry Woodhouse

It is with heavy hearts and wonderful memories that the family of Jack Woodhouse announces he has passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 23, 2018, at the age of 91 years. Jack is predeceased by his first wife Jessie in 1984, second wife Ivy in 2001, and brother Ernie in 2006. He leaves behind a loving family, wife Daphne, daughters Peggy (Tim) Logue and Esther (Dave) Stewart, grandchildren; Nathan (Danielle), Nolan (Jeneva), Nick (Lauren), Alyssa, Amy (Alan) Verstraeten, great grandchildren Noah, Carson, Chloe, Hayley and Charleigh, as well as his sisters Elsie Falloon and Elva Thompson and his brothers Allan and Harold Woodhouse. Jack was born in Binscarth, Manitoba on November 10, 1926 into a farming family and remained a farmer at heart his entire life. Jack farmed for most of his life on his family farm and then retired to the West Coast to be near his daughters and their families. A Funeral Service in his honor is planned for Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at his family’s funeral home, Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 224th Street, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers donations to be made to the As the great radio broadcaster Paul Harvey once read: “So God made a Farmer”.
