Born October 24, 1928 in Govan, SK, passed away peacefully February 2, 2018 in Maple Ridge, BC. Pre-deceased by her husband Jack, sister Helen, brother Leonard, daughters Lynda and Debbie and son Leonard. A mother, sister, gramma, great gramma, aunt and friend, she is survived by sisters Eleanor and Alice (Elmer), children Jim (Claire), John (Debbie), Carol (Doug), Kevin and Charlotte as well as many grand/great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Laurene was a lover of bingo, a cancer survivor and lived independently up until her very last days. But in the end, she was tired and it was time for her to spread her wings and reunite with all of the loved ones that went before her.
Special thanks to the paramedics and doctors and nursing staff in the Emergency and ICU care units at Ridge Meadows Hospital, especially Dr. Duplessis.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-3 on April 28, 2018 at the Maple Ridge Legion.
