Dear Launi, Tore and Heidi,
Very sorry to hear of our loss of Norman. He was a well respected man in all of the circles I have known him to be in, including the forestry, logging and political organizations. He was also a kind neighbour to my mother’s family and me at the Jacobsen home place. I still look back with fond memories of the Wee Friends Preschool days our children were in together, and the successful provincial election we worked so hard on in 1986.
Wishing your family the best regards during this difficult time.
Ken and Tracey Stenerson.

Dear Launi sending sincere condolences as we read today of Norm’s passing. Seems a long time ago with Norm , Austin and my husband John who enjoyed assisting them both with their municipal and provincial political endeavors. They all enjoyed the challenge of serving their communities.
Always such a gentlemen and devoted to family and left a wonderful legacy for many.

We were so saddened to see Norman’s obituary in the paper today. We will always remember his kindness and warm smile. He and Launi allowed us to ride our horses on their beautiful property on Jacobsen St. and we were always amazed at how hard they both worked to keep everything in order. We loved being able to take our girls there to choose a special Christmas tree and have a chat with Norm.
We send Launi and family our sincerest sympathy. May your memories of Norman bring peace during this time of sorrow.
Sincerely meant, the Brooks family.

Dear Launi and your precious Family,
Wanting to say that we are so very sorry for your recent loss of your dear husband, Norm. You both are such warm, caring folk and it was always such a joy to meet the two of you. He gave so much to his community and was always willing to help those in need. You will miss him immensely and wanting you to know that we care for you and share in your grief. What a blessed gift from God that we have Jesus and our faith in our Savior to sustain us during our earthly trials and to know that one day we will be reunited with our loved ones in our heavenly home.
May God continue to give you strength and peace.
Lovingly, Sheila and Robert Demers

Dear Launi
I am sorry to hear about Norman’s passing.
He taught my wife,Mimi , how to cook a Christmas turkey as we celebrated our first Canadian Christmas with him . We had a lot of fun bringing the sheep to market. Thanks to Norman I’ve got a nickname,Wimbo’ and that name stuck. We celebrated our wedding in 1975 while we were living at his log house. He lived above us and would tap with a stick on the ceiling telling me,hey Wimbo’ the sheep are out. He used to joke around while we were cleaning the ram shed the first girl who comes with rubber. Boots I’m going to marry and so Launi became the one . One day he quibet Wimbo’ you win I’m gonna keep it with 2 children (we have 5),He was a wonderful man,who was often in my thoughts
Wish you God’s blessing in this difficult time
Love Wim and Mimi

Dear Launi, Tore and Heidi,
I am saddened to hear that Norm has passed away. My heart goes out to you. It was such a pleasure to help Norm reforest his property in Mission, and hear his amazing logging stories and childhood history in Mission. We remember his kindness and support of Mission’s Tree Fam Licence. His legacy lives on through our nameing of the JV Logging Road several years ago.
