Obituary of Gunnar Miller

For those of you who patronized Eastgate Autobody or Mr Sparks Auto Electric, you would remember Gunnar as the smiling Dane who owned both businesses side by side.
We are saddened by his sudden passing so shortly after he sold both businesses and was looking forward to his retirement.
Gunnar was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he went to school, played soccer for his local club and served in the military. He received his autobody qualifications in Denmark and then immigrated to Canada in 1969 and started working for a New Westminster body shop.
His wife Janet Rose was introduced to him by their landlady and they were married May 1st, 1971. After 46 years of marriage he sadly leaves her behind as he goes on to his Lord and Savior in heaven.
Gunnar is also survived by his brother Arne in Denmark.
Gunnar was an avid golfer and a long-time member of the Pitt Meadows Golf Club. His last wishes were a “Celebration of Life” to be held at the clubhouse, 13615 Harris Road, Pitt Meadows. This will take place on Friday Sept 22 from 2-5 pm. We look forward to a gathering of his friends and business acquaintance’s.
