Obituary of Donald Louis Harold Varcoe

February 11, 1941 – June 30, 2017 It is with such sadness and broken hearts that the family of Donnie, as he was known by so many, announce the passing of their beloved Don who passed away on June 30th with his loving family by his side when he succumbed to Pulmonary Fibrosis after being diagnosed over seven years ago. Don developed a love of golf at a very early age and it became a huge part of his life. He joined the Pitt Meadows Golf Course in 1978 where he met countless wonderful friends and created so many memories over his 39 year membership. Don also enjoyed the many golf trips to Arizona over the last twenty years with such amazing friends. Don’s love of life, kindness, humour and crooked smile will forever be in the memories of the family he leaves behind. His wife of nearly 37 years Dawn-Marese, his children, Tim, Matthew, Dana (Clif), and Douglas. He leaves behind his six wonderful grandchildren Ava, Caellum, Madisyn, Hudson, Atherley and Everlyn who was born a week after Don passed away. He also is survived by his sister June. A celebration of life will be held on August 31st at Pitt Meadows Golf Club. Doors open at 1pm Celebration to start at 2pm Life just isn’t the same without you and we will never forget someone who gave us so much to remember.
