Obituary of Daniel Lewis Payne

Payne, Daniel Lewis August 7, 1947-April 15, 2017 Born in Chatham Ontario It is with great sadness we share the passing of our husband, father and Papa; Daniel Lewis Payne. After a life well lived, Dan passed away peacefully on April 15, 2017. He leaves behind his cherished wife and best friend of 44 years Kelle, his daughters whom he adored,Terri and Jennifer (Steve) and his precious grandson Nixon. He will sadly be missed by his loving siblings, Maryellen, Richard and John, as well as many other relatives, nieces and nephews. Over the years, Dan has touched many lives by being someone that you could always trust and lean on during trying times. To many he was thought of as a second father or Papa and to others a faithful friend. In Dan’s early years he worked as a paramedic, then later a custom wood craftsman and Mr. Mom to his girls. He spent many days cruising on his Honda Goldwing motorcycle, cheering for the Montreal Canadians and playing tennis with his brothers. Dan will be remembered as a man of quick wit, strong faith but most of all a loyal husband and dedicated father whose family always came first. In keeping with his wishes a celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Saturday May 6 th at 11:00am at Power to Change Ministries 20385-64 th Avenue, Langley B.C. Our family also wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation for the kindness and excellent care Dan received from Dr. Shawn Tully and the other amazing physicians he had over the years.
