Gerard (Gerry) Joseph Perras, 83, passed away October 4, 2019 in Port Coquitlam, B.C.

Gerry was born in Montmartre, Sask. After moving to Edmonton to work in the newspaper business as a pressman, he met Connie Campbell. After they were wed, they found themselves living and raising a family in Washington State. As empty nesters they spent a few years in Colorado before moving to British Columbia. Gerry and Connie spent 16 years managing a strata building in downtown Vancouver near Stanley Park before retiring to Pitt Meadows.

Gerry is preceded in death by his parents, Laurent and Antoinette; and a sister Jeannine.

Gerry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Connie Perras; children Robert (Liz), and Diane (Rick); grandchildren Jessica, Sarah, Jeremy and Laura; great grandson Connor; sisters Agnes, Laurencia, Rita and brothers Aime and Emile.

Gerry loved spending time with family and friends, and he loved to have fun. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing cards and barbequing. He and Connie also loved square dancing and they have many fond memories with their square dancing gang. He was active in his parish and served as a Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus at St. Luke’s.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Gerry’s memory.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to staff at Nicola Lodge and St. Luke’s Catholic Church for their loving care and support.
