It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stanko Segaric. Stanko, known to many as Stan, is predeceased by his wife Joan and is survived by his sons Tony (Cheryl), Peter (Laurel), and his daughter Helene. Grandchildren Craig (Christine), Stephanie, Mark, Devon, Matthew, Leigh-Anne (Shawn) and Lucas. Also a great grandfather to Sophia, Madeline, Peyton and Veronique.
Stan was born in IST, Croatia – one of nine children to Bernarda and Ciprijan. Traveling the world in his early years, he came to Canada in 1955. Together, he and Joan raised their family in Vancouver, later retiring in Maple Ridge. Stan was a skilled craftsman and avid gardener. He took great interest in people and loved to share stories with everyone he came across.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Ridge Seniors Village for their support and companionship to Dad.
Mass will be held on Friday March 17 at 11:00 am at St. Luke’s Parish 20285 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge.
