When my husband and I first moved to Maple Ridge in the early 60's we lived for several years at what was then called the "Green Acres Motel" on Lougheed Highway. At that time it was owned and operated by Charlie and Vi Meek and at the back of the property there were a number of newly built duplexes where a community of young people grew and made lasting friendships and memories. The rent was reasonable and Charlie and Vi were good landlords. Greg and his siblings were great kids and we enjoyed watching them grow up. I'm so sorry to hear that another leaf has fallen off the Meek family tree. My condolences to the family at this difficult time.
