Obituary of Maruerite Kubb

Margaret Kubb (Hare) passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on January 8th in Maple Ridge, B.C, at the age of 100 years. Mum was born June 1st, 1916 to Voctoire Demarais and Frank Hare. She was raised by Ellen and Andrew Spence. As a young woman she was employed by Mrs. Billy O’Neill at the Amaranth Hotel. She married Edward Kubb in 1939, living both in Amaranth and Sandy Bay and later in Langruth. Mum and dad raised 11 children, in Sandy Bay and Langruth. They retired to Vancouver, Lower Mainland in 1978. They enjoyed their retirement in Surrey until 1992 when Dad passed away. In approximately 2011 Mum moved into care at Baillie House in Maple Ridge where she was well taken care of. Mum is survived by all 11 children, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren . Service to be held January 16th at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Angels in Amaranth, Manitoba, followed by interment at Langruth Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the Langruth Community hall.
