Sue and I became friends when she was 7 – I was 9 – being a March birthday.
The Pollock kids (Sue, Warren, Myrna and Bruce – Gary was older and much too refined) and the Shunter girls (Sandra and Lynne) were a happy childhood gang roaming about the countryside – swimming in the river, skating on the canals, exploring the fields and woods. Kids don’t get to do that unsupervised these days. We did and we survived. Sue and I remained friends and only lost contact somewhere around 1998. I guess we were too busy with our lives. I miss you, Sue. You were a wonderful friend to me.
