It’s been two weeks since we got the new of the loss of my Aunt Rho. My heart is with Uncle Shawn and my cousins in B.C. You were the loves of her life and she was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren. Aunt Rho was always up for an adventure. She was thoughtful and kind and had a way of making people feel special and important. She had the best attitude and was strong, brave and courageous. We valued her love, support and friendship. While living away from Newfoundland she was still only a phone call away and was here whenever we needed her. At times during those calls she may have gotten more advice than she bargained for from my Aunts. The bond they shared was something special. I’m so thankful for the time we got to spend together . She was loved beyond measure!

I've only known Brad's mom for a year, but in that year I had grown close with her and felt very welcomed into the family by her. I'm going to miss messaging back and forth with her on "Hang outs" and coming over for delicious meals and chats. Although Covid made things difficult, I am still thankful that we were able to be in her bubble still. It was a shock how quickly everything happened. I was sure I would get more time with her and give her more grandbabies.... I mourn the loss of my future children never getting to meet their paternal grandmother as she was fantastic, kind, thoughtful and funny. Not a day will go by where Brad won't be thinking of his beloved mom and watching the home videos of her has helped me get to know her better and miss her more. The only silver lining in this tragic loss is she is no longer in a pain. Be at peace and rest well, we will miss you forever and for always.

Shawn, Blair, Dawn and Brad,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have many great memories of Mrs. Mantin at the house in Cambridge or at the cottages in Sauble Beach. She was so kind to my friends and I. She always took the time to ask how I was doing with school or work.
Take great care and know that she will be missed.

Dear Mantin Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Such sad news. We met Rosalie when our kids were friends in high school. They hung out at St. Bennies and in each other's houses in Cambridge ON. We had many full family gatherings at our homes and even at Sauble Beach. Those were good times. Rosalie was a lovely hostess and always made us feel like part of the family. I hunted through our photo albums and in the only picture we had of Rosalie, she was hiding behind Shawn. Nevertheless, her energy and love will live in all our hearts.
Our sincerest condolences to Shawn, Dawn, Blair and Brad.
Love,
Christine, Brian, Craig, Scott and Brad Nowak

Shawn, Blair, Dawn and Brad:
So sorry to hear the sad news about Rosalie. We grew up next door to each other and we were great friends. We kept busy every single day with our outdoor activities. We lost touch after she moved away but I was so happy when your family moved back to St. Shotts for a short time. We loved having three wonderful new students at our school, Dawn, Blair and Brad. I remember how our students were so impressed with Dawn’s dance recital.
Cherish your beautiful memories. Stay safe in these challenging times.

As I reminisce on our happy, by gone days with my youngest sister Rosalie, I have beautiful treasured memories tucked in my heart. She did not have material riches but she had what money cannot buy: loving parents, brothers and sisters, and a home where we were all loved. To her children Dawn, Blair and Brad and her precious grandsons, Dexter and Bode, she left a legacy of how to live their lives. She had a heart of gold that could see something good in everyone, and if she could not say something funny or nice, she said nothing - she had a wise and smart tongue.
You, her children, were her life; she encouraged and inspired you to always dream, achieve and do your best. Your success was her success. She was a devoted wife to her husband Shawn and if it was possible, she would follow him to the moon. She loved all her Molloy and Mantin families and was kind to all who knew her. In our family, we knew she loved us all, and we accepted that Lillian was her favourite. When she would visit back home to St. Shotts, they were like two peas in a pod - when you saw one, you also saw the other.
I loved her dearly and will miss her forever. Rest In Peace my baby sister, until we meet again.
Love Maureen

When I heard that Rosalie had passed away I was devasted and numb. I have had the pleasure and honour of knowing Rosalie for the past 6 years. We developed a great friendship over the past 6 years. From day one when I met her we connected on so many levels and her smile could light up a room. She always spoke so very highly of her family not to mention how lucky she was to have such a good husband.
I will miss our frequent emails checking in to say hello and how are you feeling today and just regular conversation on life.
I have so many wonderful memories of her that I will cherish.
My sincere condolences to the Mantin family.

Sending our sincere condolences to family of Rosalie. I never had to honor of knowing Rosalie but I knew her siblings, especially Ken, and if she had the same love of family and life, then she was a great person. May her gentle soul rest in peace and may the many memories you have help you now in this time of great sorrow.

I have so many fond memories of aunt Rho, mostly from my early years when they lived home in St. Shotts - rides in the Ram Charger; sleepovers with the cousins; eating kielbasa for the first time; how much she liked doing housework.
As I got older and geography led to less frequent visits, I cherished the times we did get to spend together. Visits were replaced by emails, with aunt Rho filling me in on Dex and Bode, and what was new out west. She always signed off with “ hugs to your little princess”.
Aunt Rhos sense of humour was magnetic - wherever she was located in the house, you wanted to be close, as you knew you were guaranteed a few good laughs. I never knew of anyone who loved Caplin as much as aunt Rho! Many a package mom did up, that would make its way back to Ontario and, in the later years, BC. Departure day was a stressful one for the siblings, fearing the fish might thaw before making it into aunt Rho and uncle Shawns freezer.
I don’t know when it will really sink in that aunt Rho is no longer with us. In my mind, I feel like she’s still only an email alway. I hope someday, we can all gather as a family and celebrate aunt Rhos life,

Laurie and I were so very sad to hear of Rosalie's passing. I have always so admired her sense of family. Roe had a keen sense of knowing who might not have the best of intentions and knew to keep a distance. They raised three of the finest children into adults I have ever known. Over the years she worked so hard for the betterment of the family. I know Roe would so much love to have been a non smoker, but just couldn't beat it. I have never been a believer in what goes around comes around ,if that were true she would still be with her loving family. To Blair,Brad and Dawn,I know you know all these things about your mom ,but I don't know if you know how others seen her. Although we have not had a close relationship I do believe that as a family you guys got it so right. Thinking of you all at this time. Uncle Dave and Laurie.
