Obituary of Annie Mae Mitchell

At 90 years of age and 67 years of marriage, Annie departed this life July 9^th, 2021 with her beloved Kensel at her side.

Annie Mae (Bobyk) Mitchell was born February 11, 1931 to William and Helen (Hovrisko) Bobyk in Calder Saskatchewan. 

Together with her Brother Willie and Sisters Mary and Julie, Anne was raised on their Ukrainian family farm.  Her Father built the farm by his own hand and often called out, “ Annie get the cows”!  Anne met the great love of her life, Kensel, at a dance in Saskatoon.  They married soon after, living their early years in the Maritimes. 

Together they raised two children, Heather ( Achim ) and Ken ( Tracey). 

Happy years were spent with Anne at the piano, Kensel on the banjo and evening sing alongs with family and friends at the beach in Northport, Nova Scotia.

After many years of Military life with the RCAF, they retired, sold it all and traveled in their RV eventually settling in British Columbia to be near their Grandchildren, Brad ( Jamie), Nick, Quade and Quinn and Great Granddaughter Emma. 

Annie's internment arrangements are through Garden Hill Funeral Home, Maple Ridge BC.
