1928 – 2016

It is with a heavy heart that we sadly announce the passing of Johanna (“Hanni“) Trolitsch on Nov. 19, 2016 at Ridge Meadows Hospital.

Born on Aug. 25, 1928 in Krailling, a small Bavarian community in Southern Germany, she was one of six. “Hanni“ came to Canada with her husband Gerhard Erwin and young son Gerhardt Joseph Wolfgang in Dec. 1954 to first reside in Regina, Saskatchewan, then North Vancouver, BC. (where second son Frank Wolf was born in 1958) and finally settle in Whonnock, B.C.

“Vati“ (Gerhard Erwin) passed away in 1985 and “Hanni“ moved to McIntyre Court in Haney and then into a condo on Dewdney Trunk Road, her final place of residence.

“Hanni“ is survived by her two sons, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In Germany, she leaves behind one sister and numerous nieces, nephews and others-who-only she could sort out as to who belonged to who and how we are all related.

Also, not to be forgotten are her countless friends and all those whose life she touched.
