Obituary of Alexander Ross

 

Alexander Ross passed away at 1030pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Maple Ridge Seniors Village. 

Alex was born in 1939 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He graduated Hariot-Watts University in 1962 and immigrated to Canada 

in 1966 with his then wife Eileen R Smith). 

He worked as a mechanical engineer for WP London, London Monenco and SNC Lavelin. After retiring, he spent some time in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, to be close to his daughter Alison. He lived his last several years in Vancouver, BC before relocating to a long term care facility in Maple Ridge, BC to be close to his son Martin, wife Johertz(Joy) and granddaughter Rafha Yla. He is also survived by his daughter Alison, husband lan and granddaughter Amada 

His many interests included tennis, curling and golf. He loved long walks on the beach, cheering for his favorite sports figures and singing the golden oldies. 

Alex will be remembered for his great witt, generous spirit, unfaltering dedication to his 

family and his big heart. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to charities to do with Crohns disease, heart disease, cancer or alzheimer's.
