Fredric Michael Barteski peacefully passed away at Burnaby General Hospital on Oct 2, 2016 due to lymphatic cancer. He was born on April 12, 1950 in Regina, SK. Fred was predeceased by his younger brother, Marik in 2011. He is survived by his parents Frank and Pat, his siblings Lloyd (Lynn) and Brenda, niece Julie Hrynchyshyn (Derrell), and nephew Malcolm.

His memorial service was held on Oct 11 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church and his interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery on Oct 14.
