George D. Klassen - March 30, 1938 — January 13, 2022

Dad went to be with Jesus and his beloved Sheila early in the morning of January 13, showing up for their 59th wedding anniversary just a few hours late. We told him that Mom probably had the dance floor and a steak dinner ready. Two days before he passed away, the last water well out of a group of four being built through his society, Project Wellness, was finally drilled. Dad could rest easy. In total, sixty-five wells have been drilled in Malawi, Africa since the Lord called him to go there, and because of the incredible support of many donors. Our dear dad will be deeply missed by his family and all his wonderful friends, including the many orphans in Malawi he so lovingly cared for. His work here is done. He fought a good fight, he has finished the race, he kept the faith. He has left an amazing legacy. Excellent job Dad! We are all so proud of you!

A huge thank you to the amazing nurses and staff at the Abbotsford Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Project Wellness (projectwellness.ca) for a memorial well in Dad’s name, or to Eric Langton Elementary School for sports equipment and their lunch program.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 11:00am at Ridge Church (Maple Ridge Baptist Church), 22155 Lougheed Hwy.
