We, the doctors and staff at Maple Ridge Eye Care, extend our deepest sympathies to Gwen's family and loved ones. Her store, Horse's Habit, was just a few doors west of ours on the Lougheed Highway in the 90s and early 2000s. As neighbors, we got to know each other over the years and it was always a pleasure working with her. As others have mentioned in the tributes, she was very smart, insightful and honest. We always had some fun with her good sense of humor and I would dare say she was "old school' in the sense that she had an enormous amount of grit and integrity.
