Edwin Chester, 87, passed away peacefully on September 23rd, 2023, in Maple Ridge, B.C. Born on August 23rd, 1936, he was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He passed away surrounded by family and love.

Edwin was always known for his optimistic outlook on life. He had a contagious happiness that radiated from him, and he always saw the silver lining in every situation. His family meant the world to him, and he took great pride in their accomplishments.

He is survived by his wife Monica, sisters Sue (Steve), Jane (John), his children Mark (Sue), Lynda (Byron), Kim (Ben), Matthew (Leah), and Chris (Jeanne); one niece, one great niece, his 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, including a namesake. Each of them held a special place in Edwin’s heart, and he cherished the time he spent with them. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 15th at the Maple Ridge Legion, Branch 88, from 1pm-3pm. Family and friends are invited to join together in paying their respects and celebrating his remarkable journey.
