Stephen Berghold was born to Istvan and Maria Berghold on March 29th, 1938 in Balatonalmadi, Hungary.  He escaped Hungary in 1956 and came to Canada.  He married the love of his life, Marta and began a new life.  In 1965, he got his dream job as an instructor at BCIT, teaching Pulp and Paper and Chemical Sciences.  He loved his job!  He became a father to two beautiful daughters, Judy and Kathy.  Years later, they both married (Judy to Maurice and Kathy to Rob) and he became a proud Papa to 4 amazing grandchildren:  Kurtis, Samantha, Amanda and Christine.  This year, he was blessed with a great-grandson, Andrew, who brought him pure joy and love. He always lived life to the fullest! Family is what truly mattered to Stephen and his faith gave him strength and hope.  He always gave himself to God.  On December 7th, 2023, God called his name and he went.  Stephen went peacefully during The Lord's Prayer being prayed by his wife Marta and daughters Judy and Kathy.  May he rest in eternal peace.
