Obituary of Monica Ann Chester

Monica “Nicky” Chester passed away peacefully on January 9^th, 2024, at the age of 83, just three months after the passing of her beloved husband, Edwin. She left us surrounded by family and love. Born on January 12^th, 1940, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and cousin.

 

Nicky loved to cook, always did it without a recipe, and made food that fed your soul.

She absolutely loved to shop! She could always find a bargain, and would usually have whatever you needed tucked away somewhere. “Nan” was proud of her friends and family, and loved them fiercely.

 

Nicky is survived by her sisters-in-law Sue (Steve), Jane (John), her children Mark (Sue), Lynda (Byron), Kim (Ben), Matthew (Leah), and Chris (Jeanne); one niece, one great niece, her 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She loved her family and had framed pictures of them all around her home.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30am on February 4^th, at Garden Hill, located at 11765 224^th Street. We invite family and friends to come together to join in honouring her memory, sharing stories, and finding solace in the cherished moments they experienced with her. May she rest in peace.
