My earliest memory of Uncle John was from the '60's. On a trip back to the Coleraine area he'd call by on several evenings and take me to gospel meetings in a tent. In true Brethren style there'd be 2 preachers - the first to give the message, the second to effectively remind hearers what the first had preached on. While it was a long sit for a relatively disinterested young boy, I knew even then that John cared for my spiritual wellbeing. He had a hunger to see souls saved and it was part of the seeds of faith sown early in my life. Today he is with the Jesus whom he served and witnessed about.
Gone ahead from here but never to be forgotten by his wide family and friends.

We will forever miss John’s vigilant watch over our neighbourhood from the chair in his garage and then later from his living room window. Our 5 children, Tony and I must have waved and said hello to him a thousand times over the more than 16 years we’ve lived across the street.
RIP neighbour,
Laurie, Tony and all the Guerra Family

I am sorry to hear of John's passing. He was not only a valued customer of ours at WCBS {West Central Building Supplies} but a friend. He was a wonderful Husband and Father and guided His children to fulfil their ambitions. He was a Religious person who followed the teachings of Jesus Christ and lived His life following what was written in the Bible. May He rest in Peace

Lovely memories of Uncle John. Thinking of Aunt Patsy all the family at this sad time. Thankful for the sure hope that John is now with the Lord and Saviour that he loved and served.
Much love from niece Sarah (Sadie) and Andy, and also on behalf of sister-in-law Sadie.
